Title: Sharply o-minimal structures
Abstract: O-minimal structures provide an abstract framework where the geometry is similar to semi-algebraic sets. However, it doesn’t capture the complexity bounds that exist for geometric operations with semi-algebraic sets, for example cell decomposition. This is precisely what sharp o-minimality tries to axiomatize. I will give an introduction to the subject and how it relates to my research.
