Title: Overview of/introduction to parameter estimation for dynamical systems
Abstract: Estimating the underlying parameters of deterministic linear systems that are observed without uncertainty is easy. Estimating the parameters
of continuous-time, stochastic, high-dimensional, nonlinear systems with discrete state spaces and observation uncertainty is extremely challenging. I will give an unpolished introduction to some of the basic methods and principles of this specialized and deep field of statistics.
