Title: DG Algebras & Edge Ideals of Trees
Abstract: For which trees $\Gamma$ is the quotient $Q/I_\Gamma$ of the ambient polynomial ring by the edge ideal of $\Gamma$ minimally resolved by a differential graded algebra? In this talk, we give a nearly-complete answer in terms of the diameter of $\Gamma$, utilizing machinery from discrete Morse theory and homological algebra. This is joint work-in-progress with Hugh Geller and Des Martin.
