Title: Nonlinear superposition principles, linearization maps, and a case study of Burgers equation
Speaker: James Hornick (McMaster University)
Abstract: Lie point symmetry is used to find a non-linear superposition principle for the integrated Burgers equation, in which a family of symmetry invariant solutions are super positioned to arrive at the general solution. Relationship between superposition principles and linearization maps will also be discussed.
