Title: Homogenization of a higher gradient heat equation: Numerical solution of the cell problem using quadratic B-spline based finite elements
Abstract: In this presentation, I will discuss derivation of the microscopic heat conduction model. The two-scale expansion approach is employed to derive the fourth-order cell problem from the microscopic one, enabling us to present the numerical results of the cell function within the microscale domain. The primary objective is to investigate the temperature field within the macroscale domain and compute the effective conductivity using finite element method.
