A very brief history of this blog

…and very brief it is—since I only started this blog in January 2015. It arose out of my attempt to finally make good on my promise (to nobody in particular, really) to write a sequel to Lou’s book.

The idea of this sequel is to present the main ideas used in the construction of o-minimal expansions of the real field. I was teaching a course at McMaster on this topic, and I started this blog to collect the course notes and make them available under the category o-minimal structures. Presumably, after these notes are complete, all I will need to do is transfer them into a printable format and submit them somewhere—that’s the plan, anyway.

In the meantime, please feel free to comment on these notes; you can ask to register here.

Please note that these pages are still evolving as I make various corrections and completions and continue to add posts.

In the long term, I plan to add posts about my research and related topics every now and then; less so now, because I’m busy with the course notes, but hopefully a bit more so later.
