Calendar Description
This course will cover sampling distributions (central and
noncentral). Parametric inference: estimation, optimality, methods of
estimation (maximum likelihood, minimum chi-square, least squares,
etc.). Testing hypotheses, Neyman-Pearson lemma, unbiasedness,
invariance, likelihood ratio tests. Randomization tests. Interval
estimation. Non-parametric inference: rank order statistics.
Introduction to linear models and applied regression analysis.
