Title: Inscribed squares and rectangles

Abstract:  In this talk I will give a survey of some of the work done on the notorious square-peg conjecture of Toeplitz, which asks whether every continuous loop has 4 points which make the vertices of a square.  In particular, I'll say a bit about the great new result of Greene and Lobb, which says that any smooth loop has an inscribed square of any aspect ratio.  Then I'll narrow down and discuss my result that all but at most 4 points of any continuous loop are vertices of an inscribed rectangle. I'll demonstrate everything with a computer interface I made.
