The event featured insightful speaker sessions and engaging conversations among faculty, staff, post-docs, alumni, and current students.

Speakers:

• Matt Davison, Professor of Mathematics and Statistical & Actuarial Sciences and Dean of Science at Western University Canada, presented on “Taking Financial Mathematics from Bay Street to Main Street.”
• Barbara Csima, Professor of Pure Mathematics at the University of Waterloo, discussed “What is Computability Theory?”
• Arvind Gupta, Professor of Computer Science at the University of Toronto, spoke on “Mathematics – Leading Canada’s Innovation Agenda for 25 Years.”

In addition to the above speakers, history of the department was captured by:

• Peter Macdonald, Emeritus Professor of Statistics at McMaster University
• Matheus Grasselli, Professor of Mathematics & Deputy Provost at McMaster University
• Vivian Lewis, University Librarian and Associate Vice President at McMaster University Library
