Title: Prequantum phenomenology for polarizations of the 2DSHO
Abstract: I will introduce the framework of geometric quantization and discuss the physical phenomenology of the pre-quantum data it involves. In particular, I will discuss families of polarizations of symplectic manifolds and their relationship to coordinate representations of quantum states. Much of this will be articulated using the example of the 2D simple harmonic oscillator, for which we will give an interpretation in optical physics. This is based on the preprint arXiv:2503.20775.
